My name is Megan Wilburn. I love to create and host. I’ve always loved creating parties and get togethers that people can come to and leave feeling like they just had the best time ever. I’ve always wanted to take my gift of hospitality and do more than just simple parties. As the owner of the Grand Holland Estate, I get to create unforgettable moments unique to your special day.
I truly look forward to working with you and crafting a day that not only means something to you but something you and your loved ones, will not soon forget.
A little more about me
I have four wonderful children, two boys and two girls. They keep me busy when I’m not planning my next event.
My husband and I met at a Summer Camp back in 1996. We married in 2000 and its been an incredible journey through the years. He helps manage all the behind the scenes things, so I can enjoy planning and working with the brides to be.
When I’m not working, I enjoy a good book, crafting something new, or soaking up the sun. We are truly excited to be the new owners of the Grand Holland Estate.
It’s been a long-time desire of ours to be a part of the hospitality industry. We are excited to bring our vision of crafting unforgettable moments for you.
The Grand Holland Estate was formerly, The Ryan Nicholas Inn, and was designed and built by Kim Becherer and her parents, Clive Edward and Marylee Waylett, with the sole purpose of providing a beautiful space to host a southern style wedding. It officially opened in the year 2000.
The Inn was built as a 10,000 sq. ft Georgian southern Mansion set on six wooded acres. It is filled with ornate wood and plaster moldings, Brazilian cherry hardwood floors, crystal chandeliers, fluted columns, period furniture, wall coverings and draperies.
In the center of the home is a 2000 sq. ft gathering room with 24’ ceiling. It boasts a “Gone with the Wind” style staircase and balcony. Eighteen columns and eighteen chandeliers surround the room with elegance.
The Inn will accommodate any event from a romantic get-away or business function, to a reception up to 350 people. The four-luxury bed and breakfast rooms feature fireplaces with beautiful wood carved mantels, TVs, and private baths with oversized double headed steam showers, including a jacuzzi tub and sauna.
Around the year 2011, a beautiful, completely glassed in, Pavilion was added to the property. This addition allowed for receptions to enjoy that “outside” wedding. It can also be enclosed but still feel open to the outside.
As of 2019 the Estate has hosted more than 900 weddings and over 4000 events.
